    Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about using Legalock.

    Getting Started

Learn the basics of setting up your Legalock account and navigating the platform.

How do I create a Legalock account?

To create an account, click the "Sign Up" button on our homepage and follow the registration process. You'll need to provide basic information and verify your email address.

Is there a mobile app available?

No, but we are working on it.

What should I do first after creating my account?

Start by adding your most important assets and emergency contacts. Then invite at least one trustee who will help manage your legacy. Consider upgrading to access premium features like the document vault and time capsules.

How do I navigate the dashboard?

Your dashboard shows all available features as cards. Click on any feature card to access that section. Use the sidebar navigation for quick access to different areas of your account.

Can I import data from other platforms?

Currently, you need to manually enter your information into Legalock. We recommend starting with your most critical assets and contacts, then gradually adding more details over time.

What happens if I forget my password?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link to create a new password.

    Account & Security

Understand how to manage your account settings and keep your information secure.

    How secure is my data?

Legalock uses high security standards to protect all your data. We implement AES-256-GCM encryption—the same technology trusted by major banks worldwide. Every sensitive piece of your personal information is individually encrypted, and your data is protected in your browser, during transmission, and in storage.

    Can I enable two-factor authentication?

Yes, you can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) from your security settings. This adds an extra layer of protection to your account by requiring a verification code in addition to your password. Verification codes are valid for 1 hour.

You can change your password by going to Settings > Security and clicking on "Change Password". You'll need to enter your current password and then set a new one.
